The International School of Etiquette (ISE) held a master class with its key trainer, Countess de Tilly, at the Sonia Rykiel boutique.
Marie de Tilly, descended from a noble French family and the granddaughter and daughter of diplomats, is an internationally recognized expert in the Art de Vivre and fine manners, and one of the chief etiquette consultants at the Élysée Palace. During the masterclass, Countess de Tilly discussed proper dress codes and, using Sonia Rykiel’s spring collection as an example, clearly demonstrated what constitutes a “cocktail” dress code, black tie, and so on, how to gracefully and elegantly combine various wardrobe items, how to pair clothing with jewelry, and more.
Marie de Tilly also discussed such important aspects of social communication as greetings, farewells, handshake, introductions, small talk, and etiquette at a dinner party.
