British etiquette

British etiquette

The United Kingdom is rightfully considered one of the founding countries of etiquette. It shares this proud title with its eternal rival, France. The rules of etiquette and protocol adopted in these countries today define the concept of “classical etiquette.”

Nevertheless, Great Britain currently dominates the international arena, and as a result, British etiquette is used more widely worldwide – both in high society and protocol, as well as in everyday life. British etiquette is consonant with the etiquette and protocol of Germany, Scandinavia, and the Benelux countries.

In Great Britain itself, children are taught the basics of etiquette from the age of 3, and adults master this science easily and masterfully.

At ISE, we offer a variety of British etiquette courses to suit the needs and goals of our students.

The course typically concludes with a practical dinner – a master class in table manners.
